Chrome diopside 0.95ct 7x5mm cushion cut

A substantial cushion-cut chrome diopside from Pakistan at 0.95ct, showing a deep, richly saturated forest green that appears very dark through the table and comes alive at the facet edges where bright green-gold reflections emerge. The larger size brings out the full depth of chromium green, reading as a rich forest to near-bottle green depending on the angle of light. The cushion proportions are generous, with well-rounded corners and a good polish.

Chrome diopside from Pakistan, particularly from the Himalayan and Karakoram belt regions, tends to produce larger, deeper-toned material than its Siberian counterpart. The rich, saturated green is entirely natural, colored by chromium without any treatment applied. A cushion of this size makes a strong choice for a pendant or bezel-set earring where the deep green color can take center stage.
