The blue sits in the teal-blue range with good coverage across the centre and upper portions of the stone. A cluster of greenish mineral inclusion material is visible near the top, characteristic of the host rock matrix. Fine parallel lamellar lines trace across the surface. Indian labradorite commonly produces blue and blue-grey schiller and is regularly cut into large oval cabochons like this one.
