Labradorite 128.7ct oval cabochon

An elongated, narrow oval cabochon with a particularly graphic labradorescence pattern: deep teal-blue iridescence runs from end to end in tight, parallel, stripe-like bands that follow the long axis of the stone. The colour is strong and consistently saturated across the full face, with no significant dead zones. The tight stripe pattern is unusually crisp and defined for a piece of this size, creating a graphic, almost textile-like quality. The dark matrix body provides strong contrast to the teal-blue display. At 59.4 x 32.5mm this is a distinctly long, narrow form with a bold visual character.

The parallel stripe pattern visible here reflects precise alignment of feldspar lamellar planes along the long axis of the piece, producing consistent full-coverage display.
