A lot of small rough grandidierite crystals showing a vivid teal-to-blue-green colour - the individual pieces are irregular fragments with rough natural surfaces, several carrying iron-stained patches from the Madagascar host rock environment. The better pieces in the parcel show a clear teal-blue characteristic of quality grandidierite rough, with good colour depth visible even in unpolished form.

Grandidierite is among the rarest gemstones on earth, with fine material coming primarily from southern Madagascar. This lot offers collectors and lapidaries a parcel of genuinely rare rough to cut, cab, or preserve in natural form. Untreated - no heat or treatment of any kind. Pieces range 8-14mm individually.
