Natural Ocean Jasper Heart 14g 27mm

The largest piece in the gram-weighed ocean jasper heart series at 27mm across, with a strong dark-olive and forest-green background that gives the stone a rich, saturated base. The cream and white orbicules are large and bold, several spanning 6-7mm across, and their dark outer rings are crisp and clearly defined against the deep green ground. A narrow zone of warmer ochre-tan runs along the lower edge of the heart, and a few smaller secondary orbs fill the spaces between the larger ones. The combination of deep colour, large orbs, and generous size makes this the most visually substantial piece in the lot. Very high-gloss finish.

Ocean jasper of this depth and orb quality represents some of the most sought-after material from the Madagascar source deposit. The large orb size indicates slower crystallisation conditions during formation. Untreated and natural. At 14g and 27mm this is a proper large pendant stone - substantial enough to be a focal point in any jewellery piece and detailed enough to reward close inspection.
