Natural Ocean Jasper Heart 8.7g 21mm

A 21mm heart in a warm, earthy palette with a deep amber-brown and rust background. The face is packed with small-to-medium orbicules in cream and off-white, the orbs so numerous and closely spaced that they nearly cover the entire surface. Several orbs show the classic concentric ring structure clearly, while others are more rounded and indistinct at their edges, giving the surface a textured, almost tactile quality. The warm amber-rust tones are consistent across the whole piece with only faint variation from the upper to lower half. The polish is high-gloss and very smooth.

The dense small-orb coverage in this piece is characteristic of ocean jasper formed under conditions where nucleation occurred rapidly and in large numbers, creating many closely spaced growth centres. The warm amber-brown colour comes from abundant iron oxides in the matrix. Madagascar origin, untreated. Despite the modest 21mm diameter, the high-density orbicular texture makes this an interesting study piece and a distinctive pendant stone.
