Natural Prehnite 31.3ct Teardrop Cabochon

A pear-shaped cabochon with a warmer, more yellow-green body than the paler stones in this series. Dark epidote clumps with fine needles radiating outward appear scattered across the face, giving the stone a lively, slightly botanical visual quality. The dome is smoothly polished and the inclusions read as a natural internal pattern distributed through the body.

The clustered epidote inclusions in this stone are characteristic of African prehnite, where epidote crystals grow within the prehnite mass and are frequently preserved in the finished cabochon. Prehnite is always untreated. The pear shape at 28.3x19mm is a practical size for pendant and drop earring settings.
