Natural Prehnite 40.2ct Teardrop Cabochon

A well-proportioned elongated teardrop with a pale yellow-green body and a generous distribution of long black needle inclusions running in varied directions across the dome. The needles cross each other at multiple angles, creating a natural lattice-like pattern that gives the stone visual texture and depth without overwhelming the base color. The polish is even and glossy throughout.

The crossing needle pattern in this piece is among the most characteristic features of African prehnite, caused by epidote crystals that grew in different orientations within the prehnite matrix. Prehnite is always untreated. At 33.8x21.1mm this elongated teardrop suits pendant settings and larger earring drops.
