Three round blue sapphire cabochons presenting a broad tonal spread within the blue family. The left stone has a noticeable blue-green teal character with strong color and well-visible silk inclusions; the center leans toward a deeper, more classic blue with a good dome and depth; the right is a lighter cornflower-blue with a silvery reflection and a softer, cooler tone. The natural color variation across this Malagasy parcel is a genuine part of its appeal for collectors and designers alike.
All three are from Madagascar and heat-treated to stabilize and enhance color, as is standard for sapphires from this region. A versatile small lot - useful for mixed-stone designs, accent trio settings, or as a study group illustrating the range of blue sapphire color found within a single parcel. Total weight 1.09ct across three pieces.
Natural blue sapphire, Madagascar - sold as a lot of 3, loose.

About sapphire
Sapphire is corundum in every color except red. At 9 on the Mohs scale it is second only to diamond, and it is also very tough with no cleavage, so it rarely chips or splits when knocked. Together that makes it one of the most durable gemstones for everyday wear, rings included.
Cleaning
Warm water, a drop of mild dish soap and a soft brush, then rinse and dry with a soft cloth. Skip ultrasonic and steam cleaners: cabochons usually contain fine inclusions or fissures that vibration and heat can open.
Wear and storage
Sapphire is very hard, so it can scratch softer gemstones stored with it. Only diamond can scratch it, so keep it apart from diamonds and store it on its own in a gem jar or a soft pouch.
For your jeweler
These stones are heated, and the color from heating is stable. Sapphire handles normal setting, re-tipping and polishing well. If the stone has fissures that reach the surface, keep it out of direct torch flame and acid pickle.
