Three marquise-cut white sapphires with a clean, icy-white appearance and good face-up brightness. The left and center stones are very clear, showing the high vitreous luster characteristic of natural corundum; the right stone carries a small visible inclusion but remains bright and attractive overall. The elongated marquise outline catches light well and gives each stone a presence beyond its modest size.
Madagascar origin, heat-treated to achieve the clean white body color, which is standard practice for white sapphire. A popular diamond alternative for accent settings, side stone rows, and channel-set marquise designs. The VS clarity on most of this lot makes these particularly clean for the price point, and nicely suitable for jewelry use.
Natural white sapphire, September birthstone - sold loose as a set of 3.

About sapphire
Sapphire is corundum in every color except red. At 9 on the Mohs scale it is second only to diamond, and it is also very tough with no cleavage, so it rarely chips or splits when knocked. Together that makes it one of the most durable gemstones for everyday wear, rings included.
Cleaning
Warm water, a drop of mild dish soap and a soft toothbrush are all you need. Brush behind the stone too, where dust and skin oils collect, then rinse and dry with a soft cloth. Ultrasonic and steam cleaners are usually fine for a faceted sapphire, but skip them if the stone has fissures that reach the surface.
Wear and storage
Sapphire is very hard, so it can scratch softer gemstones stored with it. Only diamond can scratch it, so keep it apart from diamonds and store it on its own in a gem jar or a soft pouch.
For your jeweler
These stones are heated, and the color from heating is stable. Sapphire handles normal setting, re-tipping and polishing well. If the stone has fissures that reach the surface, keep it out of direct torch flame and acid pickle.
