Four marquise-cut white sapphires with a bright, icy-white appearance and excellent consistency across the set. Laid out in a row, the four stones show well-matched proportions and a clean vitreous luster - the kind of uniformity that works beautifully in channel settings, pave rows, or matched accent pairs. Natural corundum with the crisp brightness of properly heat-treated white sapphire.
Madagascar origin, heat-treated to achieve the clear white color. Having four matched pieces offers real design flexibility - they work as two earring pairs, a quartet setting, or as part of a longer accent row. A practical and well-priced lot of natural white sapphire in a perennially popular marquise shape.
Natural white sapphire, September birthstone - set of 4, sold loose.

About sapphire
Sapphire is corundum in every color except red. At 9 on the Mohs scale it is second only to diamond, and it is also very tough with no cleavage, so it rarely chips or splits when knocked. Together that makes it one of the most durable gemstones for everyday wear, rings included.
Cleaning
Warm water, a drop of mild dish soap and a soft toothbrush are all you need. Brush behind the stone too, where dust and skin oils collect, then rinse and dry with a soft cloth. Ultrasonic and steam cleaners are usually fine for a faceted sapphire, but skip them if the stone has fissures that reach the surface.
Wear and storage
Sapphire is very hard, so it can scratch softer gemstones stored with it. Only diamond can scratch it, so keep it apart from diamonds and store it on its own in a gem jar or a soft pouch.
For your jeweler
These stones are heated, and the color from heating is stable. Sapphire handles normal setting, re-tipping and polishing well. If the stone has fissures that reach the surface, keep it out of direct torch flame and acid pickle.
