Five round-cut blue-green sapphires from a second parcel of this Malagasy teal corundum, showing a lighter, more aqua-leaning tonal range. The leftmost stone has the deepest teal-blue of the five; the remaining stones grade toward softer gray-green and near-watery aqua tones, with the rightmost being notably pale and icy. A lot with a cool, understated quality that works well for subtle accent work and delicate jewelry styles.
Madagascar origin, heat-treated as standard. The lighter palette in this batch suits designers looking for a softer, less saturated version of the blue-green sapphire look. A practical five-stone lot at the consistent 2.6mm round format, well-suited to scattered accents, fine pavé, or understated multi-stone settings.
Natural blue-green sapphire, September birthstone - sold loose as a set of 5.

About sapphire
Sapphire is corundum in every color except red. At 9 on the Mohs scale it is second only to diamond, and it is also very tough with no cleavage, so it rarely chips or splits when knocked. Together that makes it one of the most durable gemstones for everyday wear, rings included.
Cleaning
Warm water, a drop of mild dish soap and a soft toothbrush are all you need. Brush behind the stone too, where dust and skin oils collect, then rinse and dry with a soft cloth. Ultrasonic and steam cleaners are usually fine for a faceted sapphire, but skip them if the stone has fissures that reach the surface.
Wear and storage
Sapphire is very hard, so it can scratch softer gemstones stored with it. Only diamond can scratch it, so keep it apart from diamonds and store it on its own in a gem jar or a soft pouch.
For your jeweler
These stones are heated, and the color from heating is stable. Sapphire handles normal setting, re-tipping and polishing well. If the stone has fissures that reach the surface, keep it out of direct torch flame and acid pickle.
