A five-piece lot of 2.6mm round sapphires spanning a beautiful range of cool blue-green tones. The set includes stones from light aqua-blue on one end to rich teal-green and deep steel-blue on the other, creating a cohesive yet varied palette within a single purchase. The green influence gives several stones in the lot a distinctly teal character, while the bluer pieces lean toward a classic cool blue-green. SI clarity with natural inclusions that are typical for teal sapphires of this compact size.
All five stones have been heated, the most widely accepted treatment in the sapphire trade, which stabilizes and enhances the natural teal blue-green color. Teal and blue-green sapphires have become increasingly sought after for contemporary fine jewelry, prized for their earthy, nature-inspired tones. This 2.6mm round format fits standard settings for pavé rings, channel bands, cluster earrings, and floral designs. The color variation across the lot makes it particularly suited to multi-stone pieces where a gradient or tonal variety is part of the design intent.
Natural blue-green sapphire, September birthstone - sold as a lot of 5 pieces.

About sapphire
Sapphire is corundum in every color except red. At 9 on the Mohs scale it is second only to diamond, and it is also very tough with no cleavage, so it rarely chips or splits when knocked. Together that makes it one of the most durable gemstones for everyday wear, rings included.
Cleaning
Warm water, a drop of mild dish soap and a soft toothbrush are all you need. Brush behind the stone too, where dust and skin oils collect, then rinse and dry with a soft cloth. Ultrasonic and steam cleaners are usually fine for a faceted sapphire, but skip them if the stone has fissures that reach the surface.
Wear and storage
Sapphire is very hard, so it can scratch softer gemstones stored with it. Only diamond can scratch it, so keep it apart from diamonds and store it on its own in a gem jar or a soft pouch.
For your jeweler
These stones are heated, and the color from heating is stable. Sapphire handles normal setting, re-tipping and polishing well. If the stone has fissures that reach the surface, keep it out of direct torch flame and acid pickle.
