Five round-cut blue-green sapphires with a mixed tonal range spanning from teal-blue through gray-green to one notably dark, inky blue-green stone positioned fourth from left. That deeper stone has a rich, almost forest-teal depth that contrasts with the softer, lighter companions around it. The remaining four sit in the medium gray-green and soft teal range, giving the set an organic, naturally varied feel.
Madagascar origin, heat-treated. At 0.65ct for five 2.6mm rounds this is one of the weightier lots in this format. The variation in depth across the five stones suits designs that welcome natural tonal movement, from scatter rings to organic cluster settings where each stone can show its individual character.
Natural blue-green sapphire, September birthstone - sold loose as a set of 5.

About sapphire
Sapphire is corundum in every color except red. At 9 on the Mohs scale it is second only to diamond, and it is also very tough with no cleavage, so it rarely chips or splits when knocked. Together that makes it one of the most durable gemstones for everyday wear, rings included.
Cleaning
Warm water, a drop of mild dish soap and a soft toothbrush are all you need. Brush behind the stone too, where dust and skin oils collect, then rinse and dry with a soft cloth. Ultrasonic and steam cleaners are usually fine for a faceted sapphire, but skip them if the stone has fissures that reach the surface.
Wear and storage
Sapphire is very hard, so it can scratch softer gemstones stored with it. Only diamond can scratch it, so keep it apart from diamonds and store it on its own in a gem jar or a soft pouch.
For your jeweler
These stones are heated, and the color from heating is stable. Sapphire handles normal setting, re-tipping and polishing well. If the stone has fissures that reach the surface, keep it out of direct torch flame and acid pickle.
