This compact octagon-cut green sapphire displays a rich, deeply saturated forest-teal-green color — a bold, cool green with strong blue undertones that give it a dramatic jewel-like intensity within its 4.5x3.5mm footprint. The step-cut faceting creates clean, sharp planes that concentrate the stone's saturated color beautifully, producing a hall-of-mirrors depth within the transparent body. Impressive color impact for a small carat weight.
Heat treatment has developed and enriched this stone's deep teal-green color in a standard, permanent, and fully disclosed process. Green sapphires in this deeply saturated forest-teal register are versatile and visually striking, appealing to fans of cool-toned, nature-inspired gems. At 0.37ct, this well-cut octagon is an ideal accent stone for rings, earrings, or pendants, and a natural candidate for a matched pair of small green sapphire accents in a custom design.

About sapphire
Sapphire is corundum in every color except red. At 9 on the Mohs scale it is second only to diamond, and it is also very tough with no cleavage, so it rarely chips or splits when knocked. Together that makes it one of the most durable gemstones for everyday wear, rings included.
Cleaning
Warm water, a drop of mild dish soap and a soft toothbrush are all you need. Brush behind the stone too, where dust and skin oils collect, then rinse and dry with a soft cloth. Ultrasonic and steam cleaners are usually fine for a faceted sapphire, but skip them if the stone has fissures that reach the surface.
Wear and storage
Sapphire is very hard, so it can scratch softer gemstones stored with it. Only diamond can scratch it, so keep it apart from diamonds and store it on its own in a gem jar or a soft pouch.
For your jeweler
This sapphire is heated, and the color from heating is stable. Sapphire handles normal setting, re-tipping and polishing well. If the stone has fissures that reach the surface, keep it out of direct torch flame and acid pickle.
