This 0.38ct heated green sapphire round presents a warm, lively yellow-green color with excellent transparency and a pleasing chartreuse character that shifts between warm lime and deeper olive-green as the angle of light changes. The stone's dynamic color play and lively facet brilliance make it an expressive and engaging gem, full of natural warmth and personality in a compact, versatile round form.
Sourced from Madagascar, this green sapphire has been heat treated to enhance its warm yellow-green color, producing a vibrant tone that is distinctly different from the cooler mint-greens more commonly seen in this variety. Green sapphires are among the most versatile and fashionable of the fancy color sapphire family, prized for their durability and extraordinary natural color palette. The warm yellow-green tone pairs particularly well with yellow gold settings that complement and amplify its natural warmth.

About sapphire
Sapphire is corundum in every color except red. At 9 on the Mohs scale it is second only to diamond, and it is also very tough with no cleavage, so it rarely chips or splits when knocked. Together that makes it one of the most durable gemstones for everyday wear, rings included.
Cleaning
Warm water, a drop of mild dish soap and a soft toothbrush are all you need. Brush behind the stone too, where dust and skin oils collect, then rinse and dry with a soft cloth. Ultrasonic and steam cleaners are usually fine for a faceted sapphire, but skip them if the stone has fissures that reach the surface.
Wear and storage
Sapphire is very hard, so it can scratch softer gemstones stored with it. Only diamond can scratch it, so keep it apart from diamonds and store it on its own in a gem jar or a soft pouch.
For your jeweler
This sapphire is heated, and the color from heating is stable. Sapphire handles normal setting, re-tipping and polishing well. If the stone has fissures that reach the surface, keep it out of direct torch flame and acid pickle.
