This 0.38ct heated green sapphire presents a rich, dark teal-green color in a round cut, with good saturation and depth that make it stand out well above its modest weight. The color is a deep, moody teal-green with natural inclusions that add characterful, organic individuality and speak to its genuine natural origin, making each facet a little different from the next.
From Madagascar, this green sapphire has been heat treated to enhance its deep teal-green color. Madagascar green sapphires span a wide spectrum from pale pastel to deeply saturated teal, and this stone sits firmly in the richer, more vibrant end of that range. A compact, bold piece well suited to accent settings, nature-inspired pendants, and designs where a concentrated hit of deep natural green is the desired effect.

About sapphire
Sapphire is corundum in every color except red. At 9 on the Mohs scale it is second only to diamond, and it is also very tough with no cleavage, so it rarely chips or splits when knocked. Together that makes it one of the most durable gemstones for everyday wear, rings included.
Cleaning
Warm water, a drop of mild dish soap and a soft toothbrush are all you need. Brush behind the stone too, where dust and skin oils collect, then rinse and dry with a soft cloth. Ultrasonic and steam cleaners are usually fine for a faceted sapphire, but skip them if the stone has fissures that reach the surface.
Wear and storage
Sapphire is very hard, so it can scratch softer gemstones stored with it. Only diamond can scratch it, so keep it apart from diamonds and store it on its own in a gem jar or a soft pouch.
For your jeweler
This sapphire is heated, and the color from heating is stable. Sapphire handles normal setting, re-tipping and polishing well. If the stone has fissures that reach the surface, keep it out of direct torch flame and acid pickle.
