This unheated Madagascar green sapphire presents a pleasing medium sage-green color with a warm, earthy character that sits comfortably between a classic forest green and a cooler celadon tone. The cushion cut maximizes the face coverage at 5.7x5.2mm and gives the stone a lovely rounded presence, with light reflecting through the green body to produce a soft, natural glow. Some natural inclusions are present consistent with the SI grade, and these add to the genuine, unenhanced character of this all-natural stone. A versatile, wearable green with a distinctly organic quality.
Madagascar is one of the world's leading producers of natural corundum, and the green sapphires from this origin often display the kind of warm, earthy saturation that pairs beautifully with both yellow and rose gold. This stone is fully unheated and untreated, preserving its natural color entirely. At 5.7x5.2mm and 0.82ct the cushion shape sits well in ring settings and pendant designs, making it an excellent choice for bespoke jewelry where an all-natural, untreated green sapphire is the priority.

About sapphire
Sapphire is corundum in every color except red. At 9 on the Mohs scale it is second only to diamond, and it is also very tough with no cleavage, so it rarely chips or splits when knocked. Together that makes it one of the most durable gemstones for everyday wear, rings included.
Cleaning
Warm water, a drop of mild dish soap and a soft toothbrush are all you need. Brush behind the stone too, where dust and skin oils collect, then rinse and dry with a soft cloth. Ultrasonic and steam cleaners are usually fine for a faceted sapphire, but skip them if the stone has fissures that reach the surface.
Wear and storage
Sapphire is very hard, so it can scratch softer gemstones stored with it. Only diamond can scratch it, so keep it apart from diamonds and store it on its own in a gem jar or a soft pouch.
For your jeweler
This sapphire is untreated. Sapphire handles normal setting, re-tipping and polishing well. If the stone has fissures that reach the surface, keep it out of direct torch flame and acid pickle.
