This elegant teardrop-cut pink sapphire from Madagascar charms with a soft, rosy-pink hue with gentle lilac undertones that give it a delicate, feminine quality. The pear silhouette flatters the stone's compact 5x4mm proportions beautifully, and its VS clarity delivers excellent transparency and sparkle, allowing the soft pink color to glow warmly through the facets. A refined stone with above-average clarity for its price range.
Madagascar is celebrated for producing pink sapphires with a wide range of soft, appealing tones, and this stone is entirely untreated, its gentle rosy color a pure expression of natural corundum chemistry. With VS clarity and a teardrop shape naturally suited to pendants, drop earrings, and romantic jewelry designs, this stone is an excellent choice for rose gold or white gold settings where the soft pink tone can take graceful center stage.

About sapphire
Sapphire is corundum in every color except red. At 9 on the Mohs scale it is second only to diamond, and it is also very tough with no cleavage, so it rarely chips or splits when knocked. Together that makes it one of the most durable gemstones for everyday wear, rings included.
Cleaning
Warm water, a drop of mild dish soap and a soft toothbrush are all you need. Brush behind the stone too, where dust and skin oils collect, then rinse and dry with a soft cloth. Ultrasonic and steam cleaners are usually fine for a faceted sapphire, but skip them if the stone has fissures that reach the surface.
Wear and storage
Sapphire is very hard, so it can scratch softer gemstones stored with it. Only diamond can scratch it, so keep it apart from diamonds and store it on its own in a gem jar or a soft pouch.
For your jeweler
This sapphire is untreated. Sapphire handles normal setting, re-tipping and polishing well. If the stone has fissures that reach the surface, keep it out of direct torch flame and acid pickle.
