This 0.78ct untreated pink sapphire oval from Madagascar presents a vivid, bright pink with warm purple-lilac undertones that give the color a rich, glowing intensity. Visible natural inclusions, including dark mineral patches and veils distributed through the stone, are characteristic of genuinely untreated sapphires and add organic, authentic character — in no way diminishing the extraordinary vividness of the stone's all-natural color.
From Madagascar, this pink sapphire is completely untreated and unheated, making its vibrant natural pink an especially notable quality. The intense saturation comes entirely from the stone's own geological formation with no enhancement whatsoever. Untreated pink sapphires of genuine color intensity are increasingly rare and are prized by collectors who value natural provenance above commercial perfection. The natural inclusions are a hallmark of authenticity and make this a compelling piece for artisan jewelry and serious collectors.

About sapphire
Sapphire is corundum in every color except red. At 9 on the Mohs scale it is second only to diamond, and it is also very tough with no cleavage, so it rarely chips or splits when knocked. Together that makes it one of the most durable gemstones for everyday wear, rings included.
Cleaning
Warm water, a drop of mild dish soap and a soft toothbrush are all you need. Brush behind the stone too, where dust and skin oils collect, then rinse and dry with a soft cloth. Ultrasonic and steam cleaners are usually fine for a faceted sapphire, but skip them if the stone has fissures that reach the surface.
Wear and storage
Sapphire is very hard, so it can scratch softer gemstones stored with it. Only diamond can scratch it, so keep it apart from diamonds and store it on its own in a gem jar or a soft pouch.
For your jeweler
This sapphire is untreated. Sapphire handles normal setting, re-tipping and polishing well. If the stone has fissures that reach the surface, keep it out of direct torch flame and acid pickle.
