This impressive 2.06ct heated pink sapphire oval from Madagascar presents a large, softly glowing lavender-pink color with a delicate, airy quality that fills the generous 8.3x6.7mm oval face with a dreamy, romantic presence. The color is a gentle, pale pink with a subtle lilac undertone — refined and luminous, with the superior brilliance and depth that distinguishes corundum from other pale pink gemstones.
From Madagascar, this pink sapphire has been heat treated to achieve its soft, elegant color. The pale lavender-pink palette is a sophisticated and versatile choice, complementing rose gold and white gold settings with equal beauty. At over 2 carats, this stone provides a substantial presence for centerpiece rings, statement pendants, and bespoke fine jewelry designs where a large, softly colored sapphire makes an elegant and distinctive alternative to conventional deep pink or blue stones.

About sapphire
Sapphire is corundum in every color except red. At 9 on the Mohs scale it is second only to diamond, and it is also very tough with no cleavage, so it rarely chips or splits when knocked. Together that makes it one of the most durable gemstones for everyday wear, rings included.
Cleaning
Warm water, a drop of mild dish soap and a soft toothbrush are all you need. Brush behind the stone too, where dust and skin oils collect, then rinse and dry with a soft cloth. Ultrasonic and steam cleaners are usually fine for a faceted sapphire, but skip them if the stone has fissures that reach the surface.
Wear and storage
Sapphire is very hard, so it can scratch softer gemstones stored with it. Only diamond can scratch it, so keep it apart from diamonds and store it on its own in a gem jar or a soft pouch.
For your jeweler
This sapphire is heated, and the color from heating is stable. Sapphire handles normal setting, re-tipping and polishing well. If the stone has fissures that reach the surface, keep it out of direct torch flame and acid pickle.
