Rutile quartz 103ct oval cabochon

A natural rutile quartz from India, 103ct in a large oval cabochon measuring 42.2x30mm. The stone is nearly colorless to very pale smoky-white, semi-transparent, with fine golden and silver rutile needles distributed throughout the quartz body - visible as delicate hair-like inclusions that catch the light across the broad, smooth domed surface.

At 42x30mm and 103ct this is an exceptionally large cabochon - a collector-grade piece or an ambitious pendant focal stone.
