This octagon-cut yellow sapphire presents a delicate, pale lemon-yellow color with a faint greenish-yellow undertone that gives it a fresh, cool quality reminiscent of early spring sunlight. The step-cut faceting showcases the stone's high transparency and excellent VS clarity, with the large flat table facet revealing a pure, clean crystal interior. The light tone allows the facets to sparkle with bright, open reflections that amplify the stone's elegance.
As an entirely untreated yellow sapphire, this stone's gentle color is wholly natural, making it valued by gem purists and collectors who seek unmodified corundum. Untreated yellow sapphires command a premium in the fine gem market relative to heated equivalents. At 0.48ct in a crisp 4.7x3.3mm octagon, it is a refined and understated choice for minimalist jewelry in yellow or white gold where natural purity and clean transparency take center stage.

About sapphire
Sapphire is corundum in every color except red. At 9 on the Mohs scale it is second only to diamond, and it is also very tough with no cleavage, so it rarely chips or splits when knocked. Together that makes it one of the most durable gemstones for everyday wear, rings included.
Cleaning
Warm water, a drop of mild dish soap and a soft toothbrush are all you need. Brush behind the stone too, where dust and skin oils collect, then rinse and dry with a soft cloth. Ultrasonic and steam cleaners are usually fine for a faceted sapphire, but skip them if the stone has fissures that reach the surface.
Wear and storage
Sapphire is very hard, so it can scratch softer gemstones stored with it. Only diamond can scratch it, so keep it apart from diamonds and store it on its own in a gem jar or a soft pouch.
For your jeweler
This sapphire is untreated. Sapphire handles normal setting, re-tipping and polishing well. If the stone has fissures that reach the surface, keep it out of direct torch flame and acid pickle.
