A lively, near-colorless oval sapphire with a very faint cool gray-blue cast that places it firmly in white sapphire territory visually, while retaining its classification as a yellow sapphire by corundum color range. The facets are bright and well-polished, delivering good light reflection and a clean, transparent appearance throughout. The neutral tone is quiet and adaptable, with an understated elegance that suits a wide range of setting styles. SI clarity with fine natural inclusions that are consistent with the untreated status of the stone.
Completely untreated, sourced from Madagascar. Untreated corundum of any color is rarer and more valuable than its heated counterpart, and Madagascar is one of the most important sources for fine natural sapphires globally. This stone's neutral near-colorless character makes it a versatile and durable option for a pendant, stacking ring, or accent stone, offering the excellent hardness of corundum at a fraction of the cost of a more saturated yellow example. Its clean, bright face appeals to buyers seeking a natural, unenhanced gem with lasting value.
Natural untreated yellow sapphire, September birthstone - sold loose.

About sapphire
Sapphire is corundum in every color except red. At 9 on the Mohs scale it is second only to diamond, and it is also very tough with no cleavage, so it rarely chips or splits when knocked. Together that makes it one of the most durable gemstones for everyday wear, rings included.
Cleaning
Warm water, a drop of mild dish soap and a soft toothbrush are all you need. Brush behind the stone too, where dust and skin oils collect, then rinse and dry with a soft cloth. Ultrasonic and steam cleaners are usually fine for a faceted sapphire, but skip them if the stone has fissures that reach the surface.
Wear and storage
Sapphire is very hard, so it can scratch softer gemstones stored with it. Only diamond can scratch it, so keep it apart from diamonds and store it on its own in a gem jar or a soft pouch.
For your jeweler
This sapphire is untreated. Sapphire handles normal setting, re-tipping and polishing well. If the stone has fissures that reach the surface, keep it out of direct torch flame and acid pickle.
