These four natural blue apatite rounds carry a bright, neon aqua-blue color that sparkles with intensity even at 4mm. The round cut brings out the best of the stone's optical character, scattering the vivid teal-blue into flashes of light as the gems turn. Each stone is transparent with the fine parallel needle inclusions that characterize Brazilian blue apatite, creating a subtle inner silkiness that adds depth to the color. The set is closely matched and makes a cohesive group for jewelry use.
From Brazil and entirely untreated, these natural blue apatite rounds are exactly the size used in countless ready-made settings for earring studs, rings, and pendants. The consistent 4mm diameter makes finding suitable mounts straightforward, and the saturated color ensures they stand out once set. Blue apatite is one of the more affordable neon gems on the market, and four stones give a designer room to work. Sold as a set of four.
Natural blue apatite, set of 4 rounds, sold loose.

About apatite
Apatite is a calcium phosphate. At 5 on the Mohs scale it is soft for a gemstone and sensitive to acids, heat and knocks, so it is best for pendants, earrings or a collection.
Cleaning
Warm water, a drop of mild dish soap and a soft toothbrush are all you need. Brush behind the stone too, where dust and skin oils collect, then rinse and dry with a soft cloth. Skip ultrasonic and steam cleaners: vibration and sudden temperature changes can crack it. Keep it away from acids, including lemon juice and vinegar, and household cleaners.
Wear and storage
With a hardness below 7 it can be scratched even by quartz, which is found in household dust, and a knock can chip it. Wipe it gently and store it on its own in a soft pouch. It suits pendants and earrings better than an everyday ring.
For your jeweler
These stones are untreated. Apatite should be kept away from the torch flame, acid pickle and the ultrasonic bath. A bezel or another protective setting suits it best.
