Five petite natural blue apatite pear cuts from Africa, each a neat teardrop outline in a vivid neon aqua-teal blue. The color is bright and characteristic, with the neon blue-green hue that African blue apatite produces naturally without any treatment. Each stone is transparent with the fine silky needle inclusions typical of apatite, which give the interior a soft texture alongside the lively facet reflections. At approximately 4x3mm these are small but impactful gems that photograph and wear beautifully.
Entirely untreated and from Africa, these pear-cut blue apatites are a great find for jewelry designers who want vivid aqua-teal color in a small pear shape. The teardrop cut is a classic choice for drop earrings and vertical pendants, and five stones give enough flexibility for creative design work. The neon color here is achieved entirely naturally, which makes these particularly appealing to buyers who prefer unenhanced stones. Sold as a set of five.
Natural blue apatite, set of 5 pear cuts, sold loose.

About apatite
Apatite is a calcium phosphate. At 5 on the Mohs scale it is soft for a gemstone and sensitive to acids, heat and knocks, so it is best for pendants, earrings or a collection.
Cleaning
Warm water, a drop of mild dish soap and a soft toothbrush are all you need. Brush behind the stone too, where dust and skin oils collect, then rinse and dry with a soft cloth. Skip ultrasonic and steam cleaners: vibration and sudden temperature changes can crack it. Keep it away from acids, including lemon juice and vinegar, and household cleaners.
Wear and storage
With a hardness below 7 it can be scratched even by quartz, which is found in household dust, and a knock can chip it. Wipe it gently and store it on its own in a soft pouch. It suits pendants and earrings better than an everyday ring.
For your jeweler
These stones are untreated. Apatite should be kept away from the torch flame, acid pickle and the ultrasonic bath. A bezel or another protective setting suits it best.
