A natural aquamarine from Brazil, 14.42ct, in a pear cut measuring 21.6x12.9mm. This large stone shows a deep, saturated green, a bold, warm-toned color that sits firmly at the green end of the aquamarine spectrum. Natural inclusions are visible throughout at SI clarity, as is typical in large, rough-origin, untreated material of this type.
At over 21mm in length and nearly 15ct, this is an impressive stone in hand, substantial as a focal pendant, large ring center, or a display piece. The strongly green coloration is a natural feature of some Brazilian aquamarine: without heat treatment the green modifier is preserved rather than removed, giving these stones an honest, unaltered character that appeals to collectors and natural-stone enthusiasts.

About aquamarine
Aquamarine is the blue to blue-green variety of beryl. At 7.5 to 8 on the Mohs scale with only poor cleavage, it is a good stone for everyday wear, rings included.
Cleaning
Warm water, a drop of mild dish soap and a soft toothbrush are all you need. Brush behind the stone too, where dust and skin oils collect, then rinse and dry with a soft cloth. An ultrasonic cleaner is usually fine for a clean faceted aquamarine, but skip steam: sudden temperature changes can crack it.
Wear and storage
Aquamarine is hard enough for everyday wear, and it can scratch softer gemstones stored with it. Harder stones such as topaz, sapphire, ruby and diamond can scratch it, so store it on its own in a gem jar or a soft pouch.

This aquamarine is untreated. Aquamarine takes normal setting well, but keep it out of direct torch flame: sudden heat can crack it or change its color.
