This 0.36ct heated greenish-blue sapphire round presents a deep navy-teal color that shifts between dark green and rich blue depending on the light angle, creating a compact, intense gem with a saturated, moody presence. The deep teal color and natural inclusions give the stone a characterful, authentic quality that reflects its genuine natural African origin and the distinctive palette these sapphires are known for.
Sourced from Africa, this greenish-blue sapphire has been heat treated to optimize its vivid teal-blue color. The greenish-blue teal color family is one of the most coveted in modern sapphire collecting, combining the prestige of sapphire with a contemporary palette that suits both classic and avant-garde jewelry designs. This compact round is ideal for fine accent settings, nature-inspired rings, and earrings where bold natural color in a small, versatile form is the design goal.
Natural greenish-blue sapphire, September birthstone - sold loose.

About sapphire
Sapphire is corundum in every color except red. At 9 on the Mohs scale it is second only to diamond, and it is also very tough with no cleavage, so it rarely chips or splits when knocked. Together that makes it one of the most durable gemstones for everyday wear, rings included.
Cleaning
Warm water, a drop of mild dish soap and a soft toothbrush are all you need. Brush behind the stone too, where dust and skin oils collect, then rinse and dry with a soft cloth. Ultrasonic and steam cleaners are usually fine for a faceted sapphire, but skip them if the stone has fissures that reach the surface.
Wear and storage
Sapphire is very hard, so it can scratch softer gemstones stored with it. Only diamond can scratch it, so keep it apart from diamonds and store it on its own in a gem jar or a soft pouch.
For your jeweler
This sapphire is heated, and the color from heating is stable. Sapphire handles normal setting, re-tipping and polishing well. If the stone has fissures that reach the surface, keep it out of direct torch flame and acid pickle.
