Natural Orange Chrysoberyl Cabochon 1.60ct Oval Cut

A rich honey-amber oval chrysoberyl cabochon from Madagascar, 1.60ct at 6.5x5.4mm. The stone has a deep translucent orange-amber body colour with fine dark needle inclusions running through it, typical of this chrysoberyl variety. The warm depth of colour and silky inner glow are visible in the product photos.

Orange chrysoberyl is a less commonly encountered variety of chrysoberyl, found in Madagascar. It does not show the cat's eye or colour-change phenomena - the appeal here is the warm, saturated amber-orange colour in a translucent cabochon. Untreated, natural origin. Suited for a pendant or ring where the translucency and colour can be appreciated in light.
