A pale peach-pink 5.9mm round with unusually well-spaced inclusions. Distinct rose-red laths and coral rods sit individually in clear quartz rather than crowding together, each one visible on its own, and the gaps between them keep the stone light and open. A soft olive-green zone occupies the lower right of the stone, a different mineral caught alongside the red ones and an uncommon addition to the usual strawberry palette. Graded I3, though the overall impression is airier than that suggests.
Quartz often traps more than one mineral as it grows. The red material in strawberry quartz is iron oxide, generally hematite and lepidocrocite, while green inclusions in quartz are commonly chlorite-group minerals. From Africa, untreated in every respect. Hardness 7 on the Mohs scale, and a stone with this much visible detail rewards a setting that keeps the table clear.

About strawberry quartz
Strawberry quartz is clear quartz with tiny red inclusions scattered through it. At 7 on the Mohs scale with no cleavage, it is a durable stone for everyday wear.
Cleaning
Warm water, a drop of mild dish soap and a soft toothbrush are all you need. Brush behind the stone too, where dust and skin oils collect, then rinse and dry with a soft cloth. An ultrasonic cleaner is usually fine for a clean faceted strawberry quartz, but skip steam: sudden heat can crack quartz.
Wear and storage
Strawberry quartz is hard enough for everyday wear, and it can scratch softer gemstones stored with it. Harder stones such as topaz, sapphire, ruby and diamond can scratch it, so store it on its own in a gem jar or a soft pouch.
