Natural Strawberry Quartz 0.82ct 5.9mm Round Cut

A quiet, evenly patterned 5.9mm round in soft peach-pink. The red material here takes the form of short rose-red rods and small blunt chips distributed steadily across the stone rather than gathered into clusters, with a paler milky zone drifting through the center. Along the upper left edge a group of flatter flakes sits at the right angle to catch light and returns a warm copper glint, and one crown facet lights up cleanly. Openly included throughout at I3, with the quartz still translucent between the inclusions.

That warm glint has a name: aventurescence, light reflecting off flat inclusions within the quartz. In this variety they are red iron oxides, generally hematite and lepidocrocite, and their scatter through clear quartz is what earned the material its strawberry name. This stone is African and untreated. Quartz is 7 on the Mohs scale, an easy hardness to live with, and at 5.9mm this round is close enough in size and tone to the other 5.9 and 6.1mm pieces in the collection to be paired for earrings if you would rather buy two.
