Natural Dendritic Agate 113.9ct 59mm Oval Cabochon

A large, generously proportioned oval cabochon in milky white chalcedony, with a broad open center that gives the stone a calm, spacious quality. The dendrites - natural manganese oxide formations - are clustered primarily around the outer edges and along the left side, forming fern-like and snowflake-like patterns in dense black against the white ground. A soft pale blue-grey chalcedony tone washes through the lower-center portion, adding quiet depth. The right side remains largely open and clean, making the dendritic border feel deliberately composed, like ink brushwork on white paper. A natural linear feature traces diagonally across the lower portion, visible but well-integrated.

Brazil is one of the most consistent sources of dendritic agate worldwide, producing chalcedony with well-developed black manganese oxide inclusions in a range of forms from fine dots to elaborate branching systems. Dendritic agate is natural and untreated - the tree-like patterns are a product of mineral infiltration during formation, not any enhancement. With a hardness of 7 on the Mohs scale, it is practical for pendants, brooches, and display pieces where the broad face can be fully appreciated.
