A warm amber oval with a clear gradient: deeper brown-gold around the girdle, brightening through the middle toward a pale frosted hexagon that sits just up and left of center where one curved facet reflects the light flat. The concave rays are fine and closely spaced, carrying the eye from the dark rim inward to that pale panel. The 11.5x9.1mm outline is a wide, comfortable oval. Transparent at VS clarity, with a small natural inclusion visible low on the face under close light.
Warm amber is the workhorse tone of Brazilian citrine and the one that sits most naturally against yellow gold. This stone is untreated. At just under 4ct it is a practical ring size, large enough to show off the cut without needing a heavy mount. November is citrine's month on the birthstone list.

About citrine
Citrine is the yellow to golden orange variety of quartz. At 7 on the Mohs scale with no cleavage, it is a durable stone for everyday wear.
Cleaning
Warm water, a drop of mild dish soap and a soft toothbrush are all you need. Brush behind the stone too, where dust and skin oils collect, then rinse and dry with a soft cloth. An ultrasonic cleaner is usually fine for a clean faceted citrine, but skip steam: sudden heat can crack quartz or change its color.
Wear and storage
Citrine is hard enough for everyday wear, and it can scratch softer gemstones stored with it. Harder stones such as topaz, sapphire, ruby and diamond can scratch it, so store it on its own in a gem jar or a soft pouch.

This citrine is untreated. Citrine takes normal setting well, but keep it out of direct torch flame: sudden heat can crack it or change its color.
