A natural goshenite (white beryl) from Brazil, 0.84ct, in a marquise cut measuring 9.5x4.8mm. The stone is colorless and highly transparent, and under direct light the faceting produces a lively, scattered return, in the product image, a faint spectral iridescence is visible at one edge, typical of well-cut beryl showing internal light dispersion. The 9.5x4.8mm marquise has a slightly wider profile compared to some in this size class, giving it a plumper belly and a full, well-lit face. VS clarity with only minor inclusions.
The wider marquise belly can be an advantage in bezel or V-prong settings. Untreated, natural from Brazil.

About goshenite
Goshenite is the colorless variety of beryl. At 7.5 to 8 on the Mohs scale with only poor cleavage, it is a good stone for everyday wear, rings included.
Cleaning
Warm water, a drop of mild dish soap and a soft toothbrush are all you need. Brush behind the stone too, where dust and skin oils collect, then rinse and dry with a soft cloth. An ultrasonic cleaner is usually fine for a clean faceted goshenite, but skip steam: sudden temperature changes can crack it.
Wear and storage
Goshenite is hard enough for everyday wear, and it can scratch softer gemstones stored with it. Harder stones such as topaz, sapphire, ruby and diamond can scratch it, so store it on its own in a gem jar or a soft pouch.

This goshenite is untreated. Goshenite takes normal setting well, but keep it out of direct torch flame: sudden heat can crack it or change its color.
