Labradorite 110ct teardrop cabochon

A long, slim teardrop cabochon with dense, saturated teal-blue labradorescence covering the entire face from pointed tip to rounded top in tight, parallel iridescent lines. The blue is deep and consistently saturated, sitting at the boundary between medium blue and teal. The coverage is essentially full, with very little of the dark body matrix visible through the display. At 61.8 x 31.1mm this is the longest teardrop in the group, and the narrow proportions work well with the striped, directional character of the schiller. The overall impression is bold and graphic.

This quality of full-coverage, deep teal-blue labradorescence in an elongated teardrop form is a practical choice for long pendant drop settings, where the vertical striping of the schiller reads clearly in a vertical orientation. Indian labradorite with this colour and coverage is consistently used in silversmith jewelry production. Entirely untreated; no treatment of any kind is applied.
