Ten round moonstone cabochons with a notably translucent, glassy-white body, the most transparent of the lots, giving the adularescence a lit-from-within quality rather than a surface sheen. One stone is a clear standout: a deep, saturated royal-blue glow filling roughly two-thirds of the face. A second shows bright blue flashes running parallel to the internal cleavage banding. The remaining stones have soft but clearly visible blue-white adularescence, with cleavage inclusions visible in several.
The translucent body gives these a different character from the milkier lots, with the glow reading as internal and three-dimensional rather than sitting on the surface. Suits open-back or transparent bezel settings that allow light through.

About moonstone
Moonstone is a feldspar whose soft blue-white glow (adularescence) comes from light scattering between extremely thin layers inside the stone. Like all feldspars it is 6 to 6.5 on the Mohs scale with two perfect cleavage directions, so it needs protection from knocks.
Cleaning
Warm water, a drop of mild dish soap and a soft brush, then rinse and dry with a soft cloth. Skip ultrasonic and steam cleaners: vibration and heat can split it along its cleavage.
Wear and storage
Take it off for sport, gardening or heavy work, where a knock is most likely to split it along its cleavage. Below 7 on the Mohs scale it can be scratched even by quartz in household dust, so store it on its own in a soft pouch.
For your jeweler
These stones are untreated. Moonstone should be kept away from the torch flame, acid pickle and the ultrasonic bath. Ask for gentle pressure when setting, since a hard push can split it.
