A beautifully shaped polished Baltic amber piece with a torpedo-like profile at 26x12.6x11.7mm, containing two preserved insects. The photos show both inclusions clearly - a small winged fly and a second insect, both suspended in brilliant warm golden-yellow amber. Natural particles scattered through the matrix add to the prehistoric atmosphere, and the piece's transparency allows excellent visibility of both inclusions from multiple angles.
Two insects in a single amber piece significantly increases its rarity and collector value. Baltic amber from Poland, approximately 44-50 million years old. Completely untreated. A double-inclusion piece in this condition, with strong visibility and a well-formed polished body, is a rewarding find for natural history collectors and amber enthusiasts alike.

About amber
Amber is fossilized tree resin, not a mineral, so it is very light and feels warm to the touch. At 2 to 2.5 on the Mohs scale it scratches very easily.
Cleaning
Warm water, a drop of mild dish soap and a soft brush, then rinse and dry with a soft cloth. Skip ultrasonic and steam cleaners: amber is soft and melts or cracks with heat. Keep alcohol, perfume, hairspray and solvents away from it: they dissolve its surface.
Wear and storage
Display it on a stand or a soft cloth so it cannot roll or knock against harder stones, and store it wrapped in a soft cloth. It is soft enough to be scratched by a fingernail, so dust it gently.
Scale
True to scale: 26 × 12.6 × 11.7 mm
Shown next to a €1 coin (23.25 mm) in the exact ratio, so you can picture the real size. The outline is approximate.
