A disc-shaped polished piece of Baltic amber at 16x14.4x4.7mm with a preserved mosquito (Diptera) inside. The insect is clearly visible through the warm golden translucent amber, its delicate long legs still extended - a snapshot frozen 44-50 million years ago. The amber itself is beautifully clear and golden with only minor internal features, allowing a clean, unobstructed view of the insect within.
