The most elongated stone in this collection at 39.4mm across with a correspondingly low, flat profile. The body shifts between cool pale green and warmer golden-yellow zones visible through the material, and dense clusters of dark needle inclusions create a layered, complex pattern across the long surface. The interplay between the warm golden patches and the cool green background gives this stone more visual variety than the plainer examples.
The warm golden zones in this stone reflect natural iron-bearing variation within African prehnite material, characteristic of some deposits where the composition shifts within a single crystal mass. Prehnite is always untreated. The 39.4mm length suits long horizontal pendants and bar settings.

About prehnite
Prehnite is a calcium aluminum silicate, usually a soft, translucent green. At 6 to 6.5 on the Mohs scale it is fairly durable, but softer than quartz.
Cleaning
Warm water, a drop of mild dish soap and a soft brush, then rinse and dry with a soft cloth. Skip ultrasonic and steam cleaners: sudden heat can crack it.
Wear and storage
Below 7 on the Mohs scale, it can be scratched even by household dust, which contains quartz. It suits pendants, earrings and brooches better than rings worn every day. Store it on its own in a soft pouch, away from harder stones.
