At 3.28ct this is the largest and deepest of the sky blue trillions, holding a fuller, more teal-leaning blue that carries right into the corners instead of fading. The lower center of the crown shows a soft frosted zone where light diffuses rather than reflecting cleanly, giving that part of the stone a gentle bloom against the sharper flashes above. A dark pinpoint sits toward the right edge, consistent with VS clarity. The 9mm spread is generous for the weight.
Size and color depth together make this the strongest of the group for a single-stone pendant, where nothing competes with it. As with all blue topaz, colorless Brazilian rough was irradiated and then heated to fix the blue. Blue topaz is one of December's birthstones, and at over 3ct this reads as a proper center stone rather than an accent.

About topaz
Topaz is 8 on the Mohs scale, so it resists scratches well, but it has perfect cleavage along one plane, and a sharp knock can split it even when the surface shows no scratches. It suits pendants and earrings, and rings too if worn with care.
Cleaning
Warm water, a drop of mild dish soap and a soft toothbrush are all you need. Brush behind the stone too, where dust and skin oils collect, then rinse and dry with a soft cloth. Skip ultrasonic and steam cleaners: vibration and sudden temperature changes can start a crack along its cleavage.
Wear and storage
Take it off for sport, gardening or heavy work: a sharp knock can split it. Harder stones such as sapphire, ruby and diamond can scratch it, so store it on its own in a gem jar or a soft pouch.
For your jeweler
This topaz is irradiated, the usual treatment for this color. Topaz should be kept away from the torch flame, acid pickle and the ultrasonic bath. Ask for gentle pressure when setting, since a hard push can split it.
