Grandidierite 6.23ct 11.7x10mm Cushion cut

A natural grandidierite in a 6.23ct cushion cut, 11.7x10mm, from Madagascar. The stone shows a blue-teal body colour - cooler and more distinctly blue than the greener examples in this series. Semi-transparent with some brownish matrix patches and fine dark inclusions distributed through the body. The blue-green tone is clearly visible across the cushion outline as shown in the product photos.

Grandidierite is a trichroic mineral that can show blue-green, yellow-green, or near-colourless tones depending on viewing angle. This 6.23ct example has a particularly blue-leaning colour, making it stand out within the series. Untreated, natural origin from Madagascar. A substantial cushion at over 6ct suited for a collector piece or feature jewellery stone.
