A lot of rough grandidierite crystals in pale mint-to-aqua-green tones. The individual pieces are irregular, unpolished fragments showing the characteristic pale blue-green of grandidierite alongside white matrix. Several pieces carry iron-orange surface staining from the host rock. Some pieces show translucency; others are more opaque. The overall colour impression is a cool, quiet teal-green across the parcel.

Grandidierite is one of the rarest gemstone minerals in the world, with Madagascar being the primary commercial source. This rough lot is well-suited for cutting or cab-cutting by lapidaries who want to work with an exceptional rarity. Also desirable for mineral collectors who prefer rough material.
