7 Pieces Natural Spessartine Garnet Fanta Color 6.55ct Polished

Seven polished nuggets holding a deeper, more saturated orange than most spessartine parcels, closer to burnt orange than honey. The polish is even and bright across the group, and the rounded forms follow the natural shape of the rough rather than any cut outline. Light passes readily through the thinner edges, where the color warms to a clear golden tone. Internal fractures are visible in most of the stones as fine silvery planes, and one carries a small grey mineral inclusion near its base.

Namibian spessartine is known for exactly this depth of orange, and the parcel shows it without any cutting to lighten the tone. All seven stones are untreated, totalling 6.55ct. They are well suited to wire wrapping, drilled pendants, or study of the species in its natural form. As garnets they also serve as a January birthstone.
