9 Pieces Natural Spessartine Garnet Fanta Color 8.1ct Polished

Nine polished nuggets of spessartine in a warm amber orange, each one keeping the irregular outline of the crystal it came from rather than being cut to a shape. The polish is high and glossy across all nine, catching light in broad soft highlights, while the natural hollows of the rough are left intact underneath. Color runs from a bright golden orange in the smaller stones to a deeper, slightly redder amber in the two largest. Internal veils and fine fractures show through the transparent areas in most of the group, and one or two carry frosted patches where the original crystal surface remains.

Namibia is the classic source for bright orange spessartine, and this parcel shows the material in its natural crystal habit rather than as cut stones. All nine are untreated. Polished nuggets like these work well for wire wrapping, drilled pendant projects, or as reference specimens for the species. As garnets they also serve as a January birthstone.
