A natural cyanotrichite mineral specimen from China, 25.6g, measuring 52x34x16mm. The specimen shows a vivid electric-blue fibrous crust coating the surface of a dark host rock matrix. The cyanotrichite forms fine, hair-like radiating crystals in an intense turquoise-blue to sky-blue color, covering the matrix in a dense velvety layer as visible in the product photos.
Cyanotrichite is a rare copper sulphate hydroxide mineral forming in the oxidation zone of copper deposits. The vivid blue color and silky fibrous texture are characteristic of the species. This Chinese specimen is a fine example of the mineral in its typical habit. Suited for mineral collectors or as a striking display piece. Not recommended for handling without care due to the delicate fibrous crystal structure.

About cyanotrichite
Cyanotrichite is a rare hydrated copper aluminum sulfate that grows as velvety sky-blue tufts of hair-fine crystals.
Cleaning
Do not wash or brush it. If dust settles on it, blow it off gently with an air blower, and keep it dry. Skip ultrasonic and steam cleaners: its hair-fine crystals crush easily.
Wear and storage
Store it padded and apart from other specimens, so its edges and faces do not chip or scratch. Lift it by its base or matrix, not by the crystals. It is soft enough to be scratched by a fingernail, so handle it as little as possible.
