Blue cyanotrichite 25.6g

A natural cyanotrichite mineral specimen from China, 25.6g, measuring 52x34x16mm. The specimen shows a vivid electric-blue fibrous crust coating the surface of a dark host rock matrix. The cyanotrichite forms fine, hair-like radiating crystals in an intense turquoise-blue to sky-blue colour, covering the matrix in a dense velvety layer as visible in the product photos.

Cyanotrichite is a rare copper sulphate hydroxide mineral forming in the oxidation zone of copper deposits. The vivid blue colour and silky fibrous texture are characteristic of the species. This Chinese specimen is a fine example of the mineral in its typical habit. Suited for mineral collectors or as a striking display piece. Not recommended for handling without care due to the delicate fibrous crystal structure.
