Green Kornerupine 1.01ct baguette cut

A natural green kornerupine in a 1.01ct baguette cut, 9.5x4mm, from Madagascar. The stone shows a muted olive-green to greenish-grey body colour, semi-transparent. Fine inclusions and some internal features are visible within the elongated baguette outline - the SI clarity is typical for kornerupine at this size. The stone has a complex, slightly subdued green tone as shown in the product photos.

Kornerupine is a rare borosilicate mineral with a limited number of gem-quality sources worldwide, including Madagascar. At 1.01ct in a baguette cut it is suited to a side-stone or accent setting, or for a collector of unusual and rare species. Natural and untreated.
